Dear River Trails Families,
Over the last couple of years, Kid Squad - the district’s before and after school program - has met at the Weiss Community Center. We are pleased to inform you that this program will return to being hosted at Euclid and Indian Grove in 2023. This change will occur on January 17, 2023.
Now that Kid Squad is returning to the school buildings in January, we ask that you please complete a short survey. This will help us prepare and coordinate as we get closer to our target date.
For those who are unfamiliar, Kid Squad is a cooperative program between River Trails D26 and the River Trails Park District. It is designed to offer quality before and after-school care for children in kindergarten through 5th grade. Through a variety of activities, Kid Squad helps children develop interpersonal skills, such as problem-solving, teamwork and following directions.
You can register for Kid Squad by visiting the River Trails Park District website. Prairie Trails students who are enrolled in the program would attend their home elementary school (Euclid or Indian Grove) and would take a bus to and from Prairie Trails.
The times for before and after school care are:
- Before School Care (Mon, Tue, Wed, Fri)…7:00-8:30 a.m.
- Before School Care (Late Arrival Thursdays)...7:00-9:20 a.m.
- After School Care (All days)…3:40-6:00 p.m.
