Superintendent Introduction

Dear River Trails Families,

I am honored and thrilled to introduce myself to the River Trails 26 community as the superintendent of schools. This week, after three years of serving as the district’s assistant superintendent, I officially began in my new role. It is a privilege to have the opportunity to continue serving this community.

My experience here with River Trails has allowed me to learn more about how special of a place this truly is. It did not take long to see why this district has garnered such a proud reputation for academic excellence and a devotion to emotional development. It was that reputation that drew me to the district in the first place and witnessing it firsthand is what motivated me to want to spend the rest of my career here.

River Trails has not only impressed me as an educator, but also as a parent. My husband and I are the proud parents of two teenagers, Emma and Tanna, ages 15 and 13, so I understand the comfort that comes from sending your children into a safe and welcoming environment, where you can trust that they are cared for and inspired to excel. That is what River Trails School District 26 represents.

As I begin my time in this role, I plan to focus on several areas, including preparations for the upcoming school year. Most importantly, I want to build relationships with the stakeholders of this district. Over the next several weeks and months there will be several opportunities for us to meet so I can get to know you better and hear your input. This includes:

  • Superintendent Meet and Greet – Tuesday, August 2 at Prairie Trails (more information to come)
  • Boxwood Bash – Saturday, August 13
  • RTMS Open House – Wednesday, August 24
  • Euclid and Indian Grove Open House – Thursday, August 25
  • Prairie Trails Open House – Wednesday, August 31
  • 1:1 listening meetings – Sign up for a meeting

I hope to meet as many members of the community as possible at one of these events. You can also contact me at any time by emailing or by calling the district office at 847-297-4120.

This is an exciting time for River Trails School District 26 and I feel fortunate to be a part of it. Thank you for your continued support of the district and I hope you enjoy the rest of your summer.
