Cross country competes at state

River Trails Ravens' girls and boys cross country teams completed a memorable season with strong showings at the state meet in Normal, Illinois this past weekend.

The girls finished in 12th place at state, ending a successful season that also saw them win their first Mid Suburban Athletic Conference championship. Three Ravens runners finished in the top 100 at the Class 2A level. The boys had one runner in the top 100 and a 22nd place finish in the overall team standings. More than 25 teams and 200 runners competed in the meet.

This was the first season in recent history that saw both the girls and boys teams qualify for state.
