ANNOUNCEMENTS

At the School Board meeting on September 19, 2017 Dr. Schuster asked Cristy Tracz, the Health teacher at River Trails Middle School, to speak about the Fuel Up to Play 60 program and the role one of our middle school students, Grace Listopad, played in it.  Mrs. Tracz showed a slide presentation with videos and pictures showing Fuel Up to Play 60 in action.  It showcased several events:

  • Student Ambassador Summit
  • A Chicago Bears player spoke to the students and officially named Grace the state ambassador
  • Our RTMS students got "active"!

Dr. Schuster added that Ms. Listopad is also a part of the District’s Wellness Committee.  Dr. Schuster stated this program has done so well in the middle school that they have taken it to the elementary schools as well.  All the schools are working toward goals set in place by the Fuel Up to Play program and she expects great results.

Dr. Schuster thanked Ms. Listopad for a job well done.
