Homework
The amount of homework each student has varies depending on how effectively he or she has used class time allotted for work completion. When working on a novel unit, students are expected to do some at-home reading to facilitate timely completion of the book and related activities.
Assignment Notebooks
All students are expected to use their assignment notebooks. Please check that they are using them for all their classes.
Absences
Students are responsible for finding out what they have missed when they are absent or at sectionals. They can check the Homework Hotline, look at the master assignment notebook or ask their homework partner.

· Use strategies to formulate ideas, opinions, and personal responses to texts · Use glossary, dictionary & thesaurus to clarify and extend work meaning · Write daily to stimulate creative thinking and writing · Create a personal spelling list for each student · Focus on punctuation and the development of paragraphs |
