The Resource room is a place where students with disabilities receive instruction that addresses the goals and objectives on the individualized education plan (IEP). In addition, the Resource teacher implements the classroom modifications and accommodations as listed on the IEP and monitors student progress toward the goals and progress in the general education classes. The Resource teacher is the case manager for the student and communicates with parents, the special education team, and other teachers. Articulation between the middle school and the high schools occur before fall placement testing and spring transition meetings.

Students who have written expression goals plan, write, edit, and revise essays assigned by their language arts teachers. All students must carry a floppy disk or a flash drive in order to work on writing in their O.W.E. class, in Resource, and at home.
