The Advanced Strings Ensemble is an extra-curricular music group which meets on Mondays and Thursdays 3:10--3:50 p.m. This group is open to 6th, 7th and 8th grade Orchestra students who express an interest in the group and play an audition.

The Advanced Strings perform at three District Orchestra concerts each school year and are available to perform at other venues upon request. This year's ensemble took a field trip to Euclid Elementary School in December to present a Holiday assembly with the 8th Grade Chorus and Jazz Band. They have been asked to perform for the River Trails Education Foundation's Floral Fantasy in April and a field trip to Arden Courts is also in the works.

A highlight for the Advanced Strings students each year is the chance to perform a strolling strings program. After learning the music, the students must then memorize their part and learn choreography! Our strolling strings presentation at the March Orchestra concert was very successful!
