The  7th grade ART curriculum includes:

Art History, Art Aesthetics, Art Criticism, and Art Production

By the end of the 9 week quarter, students will be able to:

 

· Demonstrate an understanding of value and color schemes in a work of art,

 

· Compare and contrast the elements and principles of art in two or more art works,

 

· Describe how the choices of tools and processes are used to create

           specific effects in a work of art,

 

· Understand the processes of printmaking, sculpture, and painting,

 

· Demonstrate the knowledge and skill to create 2 and 3 dimensional art works,

 

· Compare and contrast the function of art in ceremony, communication, and entertainment.
