¡Bienvenidos! Bienvenue! Welcome to the Foreign Language site! Our goal is to introduce students to a new language and culture. In both classes, French and Spanish, we concentrate on oral and written communication skills. We want to build confidence and self-esteem as we encourage students to use the language in real-life situations.

Sixth grade students will have the opportunity to have 4 and 1/2 weeks of Spanish and another 4 and 1/2 weeks of French this year. 

Some of the sixth grade topics include:

Greetings,  numbers, days of the week, months of the year, seasons, weather expressions, colors,  food, geography and others.

In the seventh grade and 8th grade programs, we focus on making complete sentences and concentrate on vocabulary. Students learn more about geography, culture and grammar.  Students will study the present, present progressive  and simple future verb tenses.
