The 2002-2003 school  year marks my tenth year as principal of Indian Grove School.  Each and every child here is a priority and has been for the past decade.  This community has a wonderful network of parents, volunteers and community workers who all contribute to the education of our children.

I was born and raised in Mt. Prospect and currently reside in the village.  I attended St. Raymond’s grade school and Forest View High School.  My bachelor’s degree in elementary education is from Illinois State University.  I have a Masters in Math Education from National Louis University and a Certificate of Advanced Study in Educational Administration from Loyola University.

In 1985, I joined the River Trails School District as an elementary teacher at Euclid School.  I also taught math in sixth and seventh grades at River Trails Middle School for seven years.  When I started in school administration, it was at the middle school as their assistant principal.  That assignment was two years in length.  In the fall of 1993, I became principal of Indian Grove School.

Helping children learn and grow has been my number one priority since I started teaching over 20 years ago.  If I can positively influence our children in some way, then my life is enriched and fulfilled.  With three children of my own, I am a dedicated mother, educator and leader who values education as one of the best opportunities we have as Americans.   Learning is a lifelong process and much of the learning begins within our classroom walls.
